A generational change and the techno revolution have brought

There is a sea change in fashion for spring 2012 — and not just by Gucci Bags way of the underwater themes that were captured in the pearls at Chanel, sharks' teeth at Givenchy, and crustaceous corals at Alexander McQueen.

A generational change and the techno revolution have brought a shift in attitude that may turn out to be the defining spirit of the 21st century's second decade. The grandees of style who have dominated fashion for so long are either passing the flame, as at Gucci Bags On Sale Valentino, or slipping away. We saw the loss of Loulou de la Falaise, a creative muse who was a symbol of the Yves Saint Laurent era, and the departure of a chastened John Galliano. Both the London and New York collections are filled with new blood, while the landscape around them is shifting. Christopher Bailey of Burberry, who turned 40 last year, and Alber Elbaz of Lanvin, who made it to half a century, are now in their prime.

Everywhere there is a sense of a new fashion order. Museum shows across the world are celebrating 30 or more years of an established brand or illuminating fashion's glorious past. The exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York this May featuring Miuccia Prada's designs facing off against the surrealist work of Elsa Schiaparelli Gucci Bags Outlet promises to be a clash of titans.
